Brian R. Quinn Founder and president of Freelance Video Services, Inc. (now celebrating its 16th year in production), Brian R. Quinn has extensive production experience in the New York Metropolitan area developing, producing, editing and distributing broadcast, commercial , corporate and industrial programming of all shapes and sizes.
Mr. Quinn’s recent awards include a National Emmy for his series “How to Survive a Fire” featuring NBC’s Al Roker, a New York Emmy award for his Outstanding Coverage of a Continuing News Story “Last Man Out Retires” and the coveted New York Press Club Award for Feature Photography for “Ireland’s Celtic Tiger”.
As a contributing photographer to NBC network productions, Mr. Quinn has worked with Dateline, The Today Show, The Weekend Today Shows, Real People, The Cutting Edge, and Sex, Buys and Advertising.
In the broadcast television business for more than 22 years, Mr. Quinn began his professional career on the assignment desk of WNEW-TV's The Ten O'clock News while studying with the pioneering Producer-Director Ted Estabrook on his acclaimed entertainment magazine Newsbeats.
On The Ten O'clock News Mr. Quinn held the position of staff editor, and later staff cameraman, before moving on to a staff position with WNBC-TV. Mr. Quinn is a contributing photographer on WNBC's news programs: Newschannel 4, Live at Five, Today in New York and Weekend Today in New York; and affairs broadcasting programming: Strictly Business, Positively Black, Visiones; and to many of the stations annual productions, notably, Christmas in Rockefeller Center, Jets' and Giants' year openers and Super Bowl specials.
